"Where the Ancients Enrich Modern Living"

Aarsha Samskriti aims to bring the knowledge of our ancients to bear on life today, especially as expounded by Adi Shankaracharya in his powerful works, based on the eternal values of Satya (Truth) and Dharma (Moral Order). Its basic philosophy is to refocus on the practical application of those values in our daily lives, even as we function as productive members of the family, the community, and the nation. The unique feature of the insights gained millennia ago is that they transcend time and clime and are available to all those who are willing to listen and of course, practice. We live in today’s life, which is informed and enlightened by the wisdom of the yore through ages. Thus we stand updated, upgraded and uplifted - glorified with the past, excelling in the present and outshining in the future.

Subija

Become great future parents
Online Session on Pre-Pregnancy

Every couple hopes that their child would become more accomplished and successful in life than themselves. For that, they have to put in their extra effort, just as a farmer who wants to produce a bumper crop will have to pay extra attention to how he cultivates it through proper irrigation, use of fertilizers and timely harvesting. “As you sow, so shall you reap” is an important proverb to remember for parents as they raise good children that will grow to become the pillars of the society.

Through knowledge and samskaras will yield a good generation; this has been taught in ancient Indian scriptures about creating a super-being by prayers, doing selfless work, healthy diet, having positive attitude, meditation and understanding the nature of one’s body, mind and so on.

"The Art of Crafting Ideal Child"

Online Sessions for Pregnant Women

Aarsha Samskriti conducts prenatal sessions with a view to introduce the traditional values and ethics designed to enable an enriching experience during pregnancy and to bring about a virtuous child

As every parent wishes to have an intelligent, healthy and virtuous child, these faculties and merits can be acquired through Garbha-Samskar activities. The method of inculcating the virtuous qualities should start from the beginning of the life of a child i.e., in the womb itself.

"Marriage - as commonly known - is the union of man and woman for their self-fulfillment, for procreation and for the continuation of the race. But what the couple is usually unaware of is their great responsibility in this process, which is to bring on earth a noble, higher being, who will help in changing the earth's present conditions, do good to mankind, and take it further in its progress towards perfection of the species, and not just produce another aimless being".
"For, to bring children into the world as rabbits do their young - instinctively, machine-like; that certainly cannot be called maternity! True maternity begins with the conscious creation of a being".
-The Mother of Sri Aurobindo Ashram

The sessions includes various topics pertaining to healthy pregnancy and birthing process, prenatal influences on the fetus and the crucial role of the pregnant woman plays in shaping the future of the unborn child.

Personality Development Skills For Youth

Residential Camps

Camps are conducted to direct the youth towards higher goals in life based on science and scriptures and great personalities like Swami Vivekananda, Adi Shankaracharya etc.

Yoga, meditation, group discussions, yogic games, motivational lectures, public speaking, group dynamics and many more.

Different kinds of activities among the youth produce different results. While creativity and latent talent are nurtured by reflective and imaginative activities, communications activities help students develop positive and constructive social skills. Artistic activities inspire self-expression, and games stimulate thought. Follow-up discussions help them explore the effects of different attitudes and behaviors. Self-esteem grows throughout the activity, when they are encouraged to weave their own rich heritage into it and integrate their values into their daily lives.

In January, 2020 a three day residential youth camp for women has been conducted at Sevalayam.
